The lion dance team will be very busy this month as we ring in the year of the dog. Look for us on 8th Avenue in Brooklyn on Friday February 3, in Manhattan Chinatown on Saturday February 4, and in Flushing Queens on Sunday February 5. You can't miss our yellow shirts!
The testing and seminar dates are available for January testing.
ABC World News Tonight will run a story on Simo teaching Tai Chi to senior citizens. The show will air on the Sunday after Thanksgiving at 6:30PM. We swear it will be on this time, so tune in! Hopefully the segment will air sometime soon, it's already been filmed!
We will now be holding a Lion Dance class on Wednesdays at 7:00. The class is open to all level students who are interested in Lion Dance. Check the school bulletin board for additional Lion Dance class times.

There is a new Tai Chi class at 10AM on Fridays, open to all-level students.
The 6:00 Tai Chi class on Tuesdays is now open to beginner and intermediate Tai Chi students.
The Brooklyn branch had a strong showing at the Wong Fei Hung Tournament. We collected a total of 8 medals. Congratulations to Joey, Steven, Omar, Jesse, Dave, and Daniel.
Details for the October 1, 2005 10th Annual Wong Fei Hung North Eastern All Kung Fu Championships, hosted by the Yee’s family, are now available at our New Jersey branch web site.
The Lion Dance class has been moved to Friday nights. The class is open to all kung fu students.
Sifu Tom Jan (master of Village Hung Kuen) will be holding a two-part double daggers seminar for the Yee’s Hung Ga family.
Look for the August 2005 issue of New Martial Hero magazine. There is a new article written by Sifu Peter Berman Yee: The Seven Point Elbow Techniques of Hung Ga. The article will be reproduced on our site soon!
The Yee’s Hung Ga family had another strong showing at The 2005 Wong Tournament in D.C., winning a bunch of medals. Three students from the Brooklyn Branch took home a total of 4 medals in underbelt forms and fighting divisions. Congratulations to Ali, Jesse, and Lewis.

The Yee’s Hung Ga family had a great showing at Derek Johnson’s 5 Tigers Tournament, winning 24 medals. Three students from the Brooklyn Branch took home a total of 6 medals (3 gold!) in underbelt forms and fighting divisions. Congratulations to Ali, Bill, and Lewis.
The Brooklyn Branch lion dance team had a busy weekend—we marched in the American Legion parade in Chinatown and performed at Brian & Vanessa’s wedding. Congratulations to the newlyweds! Pictures coming soon.
The testing and seminars were well-attended by students from the city branches (and even some from as far as Philadelphia). Congratulations to all students who tested.
Sigung Frank Yee will be in the city at the end of May for testing and seminars. The schedule has been posted on the school bulletin board.
Wednesday’s Lion Dance class is back on, sparring class starts at 8:00 again.
Wednesday’s Lion Dance class has been temporarily supsended. The sparring class will start at 7:00 until we recover from the New Year Lion Dancing gigs.
