Lion Dance Performances

For thousands of years, Chinese Lion Dance has been performed to bring good fortune and protection from negative influences. It provides an auspicious start to any new beginning, including opening ceremonies of any event, weddings, and of course Chinese New Year.

The Yee's Hung Ga Lion Dance team has over 25 years experience performing at events big and small, from huge corporate events, to restaurant grand openings, to student association parties, to educational workshops at local elementary schools. Kung Fu demos are also available and can be included upon request.

We have several packages to choose from, starting at $800.

Also Available: Lion Dance Workshops for Kids!

Our Lion Dance team has performed workshops for kids (ages 4 and up) at The Brooklyn Children's Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, and many local schools. We begin by explaining the history and origin of lion dancing and explain why it is always performed at Chinese New Year. We then perform a traditional lion dance before engaging the kids with some hands-on experience inside the lion head! We also have special kid-sized lion heads to make sure that the kids get in on the action!
